I think the bigger reveal is how shitty of a neighborhood it looks like.
The clip about his Mambo aftershave is gold. It wasn’t as bad as they were making it out to be. I've come round to Ronnie The Limo Driver, as occasionally he gives a knowing wink. Either way, he cracks me upĬan't stand JD, Will, Scott Depace, Jason, etc. Sal is either the thickest man alive or a truly great actor. Sal and Richard are total knobs, and I wouldn't wanna spend a minute with either, but they have produced or been part of so much great stuff. Though even he's had enough and sodded off Opie and Anthony were Howard Stern for people that were too cool to listen to. The Wack Pack stuff tends to leave me cold, and the constant degrading of women, but I do love the Beetlejuice stuff. Prior to his tragic death in 2010, Ronnie James Dio had been writing his. Artie has such a joyous, infectious laugh Some of the best clips for me are the ones when he and Artie find something funny and can't stop howling with laughter.
YouTube is full of clips of him clearly orchestrating fights, and he is quite the master at getting people against each other to create a bit of good radio Yeah, Stern's strength is seeing "bits" and then exploiting them or dragging them out for as long as possible Anything that doesn't involve Beth, unless it's the story of Howard dragging her out of Gary's dinner night because he was tired. Eliott Offen, I think most people dislike but I loved his appearances. Pretty much ANY interview with Richard Simmons in the history of the show. Oh, actually, I'll definitely throw this one in as I remember it: Evil Dave recording PSAs - Īny time Jackie returned, as he was the only one who would ever stand up to Howard without getting cut down. What else? Any week that George Takei was in, particularly if he was pranked by Fake Arnold or Evil Dave Letterman.
Those were a clear demonstration of just how good Fred's timings were, not only for finding clips so quickly but knowing when and how to throw them into the show to enhance the hilarity rather than steamroll over it. Eric circa-American Idol season and during his Eric The Actor period is well worth listening to, particularly if you can find the run of "Eric The Buttfucker" and "Zero Point Zero" drops that Fred would throw in. The Wack Pack stuff always rubbed me the wrong way a little bit, but Beetlejuice and Eric The Midget were fantastic for completely different reasons (Beet because he seemed a genuinely nice kid who they elevated to near-God status, and Eric because he was so utterly delusional and demanding, considering his condition). The near-show long pisstake of Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous was glorious ("One hundred million GRAAAAAND!") and I want to say that it was the same show where Jessica Hahn called in crying and Artie mocked the call to the sound of Sabre Dance.
I got into Stern around the time of his move to Sirius, so anything between 2006-2009 is a goldmine for me.
